Southwood Secondary School

Southwood Secondary School, founded in 1962 and located in the south-west of the WRDSB’s jurisdiction in Cambridge, proudly serves the population of North Dumfries and West Galt. With a student enrolment of fewer than 1000 pupils and a square footage of 12, 500 square meters, we are uniquely positioned as a full-service high-school that offers exceptional programming in an inclusive and welcoming setting. Our students consistently perform above the provincial standard and we provide program pathways that cater to a diverse spectrum of student interest. Ontario Youth Apprenticeship (OYAP); Advanced Placement; Specialized High Skills Majors in Transportation and Environmental Studies; and PAL serve as only some of the examples of the wide array of academic programming we offer beyond our core and elective courses.
